Introduction:
Asus created the Rog series specially for gamers. Asus has Rog PCs, Rog Laptops and Rog smartphones. The Asus Rog Phone 8 is balanced b/w gaming and daily uses and is certainly eye catchy.
Asus Rog Phone 8 and 8 Pro were released on the 8th of Jan 2024 by Asus (Tauwanesies company)
Design and Build Quality:
The Rog Phone 8 is based on Android gaming Smartphones. The Rog phone 8 has the Pressure-sensitive Zone (Gaming Trigger), especially for hardcore gamers and gaming content creators.
The phone's dimensions are 163.8 x 76.8 x8.9 and weighs around 225 g Frount glass is built Gorilla Glass Virtue 2 and black glass is made up of Gorilla Glass with Aluminum Fram.
The phone is designed especially for gamers in mind the phone has a good grip and is comfortable for a long time.

Software and User Interface:
The Asus Rog 8/Pro comes with its own UI the Rog UI. This UI is designed for gamers and offers various advanced options like triggers, toggles and menus.
UI is quite user-friendly and easy to use, Here's a guide on the few overlays.
1. Open RTSS and make sure both the hotkey handler and overlay editor plugins are turned on.
2. Go to the properties of the Hotkey handler plugin.
3. Look for the "Overlay editor plugin" and click "Configure".
4. You'll see four settings, each for a different overlay hotkey. Click the three dots next to each.
5. Give each setting a name, like "Overlay 1 Hotkey", and type "Load" in the "Overlay message" box.
6. Then, in the "Parameters" box, type the exact file name of the overlay you want for that hotkey.
7. Choose a hotkey for each setting. Do this for all four options.
8. Now, when you press the main toggle hotkey, you can show any overlay. Then, use the hotkeys you set up to switch between the four overlays.

Pros:
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip provides excellent performance for gaming and other demanding task.
- 165 Hz refresh rate provides a very smooth visualization experience.
- good battery life

Cons:
- Indian Model misses the telephoto lens.
- only two OS version update
- no mm wave 5g (it doesn't support faster 5G network)
- no RGB lighting on the pro model
Conclusion:
The Rog brings unique features to the table but lacks only a few, which is not a deal-breaker Rog series' main consumers are Moblie gamers and for them, it's the only smartphone that provides good gaming features and gaming UI.
the only problem with the phone is the slow connection to 5G bands which is not good if you travel a lot.
